any dslr maybe.... but not any lens. My guess it was the EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM, which I checked out and can't afford Guess I will have to stick to photoshop, but it would be nice to have a good orig. to work with.
Love that picture (its better than one on what looks like the same shoot by Widjita with a 1D). Amazing.
I found that 135mm f/2.0 L USM can produce almost same quality. This one much more cheaper and also one of canon's best. You won't regret to have this lens! widjita also has 135mm f/2.0 and his wife (~igngrez) is using it. the result is hard to differentiate which pictures are from 135mm f/2.0 or 85mm f/1.2. and thank you sooo much for the compliment...
Well, I should have known the 3 of you work together, as I have saved lots of photos from each of you -- wondering how to achieve that effect.
Many thanks for the lens info. I looked at the reviews and all are glowing-- much as you say. I also looked that the prices. Hmmm. Yes, more affordable than the other 2 I saw but still almost £1000..... UK prices being the same as the dollar price except in £, if you see what I mean. Will think about it for a week, pretending I have not made up my mind.... then I guess I will go out and buy it.
Have just added 3 photos to my gallery that try to lose the background and only half succeed or plain fail.
Thanks for helping me do better in the future.
As they say in Men in Black, its probably that last lens that I will need
finally if you remember who i am after all this time got a 85mm 1.8 lens [link] Thanks for the recommendation. Am most happy with it and have just posted the first shot I took with it. To paraphrase what was said about dogs walking I am amazed I can do it at all [link]
Thought you could only do that with a 1D.... gives me hope.
I think we could do this with any DSLR today.. but maybe a little more photoshop.. hehehehe..
